Pavano is going to visit NY, Seattle and a few other cities/teams too

but if the sox can't schmooze the Connecticut native with dinner at schilling's/bledsoe's old house and on the heels of a world series i'll be pretty suprised

He has stated that he has always wanted to play in Boston, and like Schilling, started in the system. I don't think they have to do much schmoozing, sounds to me like this is where he wants to be.

it will certainly be interesting to see where he lands...and it would be sweet for the sox to have traded pavano for pedro then, hopefully, have them both

The only big name in the Sox Free Agent market that will be playing elsewhere is Derek Lowe. Pedro will definately sign with the sox. To tell you the truth, if he doesn't I wouldnt care. But he will.

i'd be sad if he left and want him to finish his career w/ the red sox.

A Boston Dirt Dogs source indicates that free-agent pitcher Carl Pavano "is definitely signing with Philadelphia." The only issue apparently holding it up was that Carl's mom is a big Yankees fan. The source indicates that "Boston wasn't even in the mix at all -- Pavano wants to play in Philly, but he's considering the Yankees as well." The Phillies have already offered Pavano a three-year contract.
