OK, since we need SOMETHING to talk about in this boring time, I encourage all of you to make some bold predictions. If you get them wrong, no biggie, but if you get them right, you earn some bragging rights.
The bolder the pick, the bigger the reward!
Here are some of mine for now:
--The Arizona Cardinals will win the NFC West
--The Detroit Lions will get a wild card berth
--The Green Bay Packers' losses on the offensive line is going to badly affect Brett Favre and Ahman Green, and they will have one of their worst records in years.
--At least one AFC team will finish 10-6 and miss the playoffs.

That is quite the bold prediction...I think they will do better than last year, but win the NFC West? I don't know.

-I also think the Cards will win the division. No one shuts down the West Coast offense like Dennis Green and after sweeping Seattle, they should be in the driver's seat for the division crown.
-I agree.....Green Bay's gonna struggle.
-I'm not as optimistic about Detroit. Quarterback controversies can be a big distraction.
My bold prediction: Cincy will make the AFC championship game.

Tampa Bay will win the NFC South.
The Iggles will NOT win the NFC East.

Patriots lose yet another pro-bowler (Ty Law this year), but continue to win the super bowl (4 times in 5 years). While people continue to wonder how they continue to win when they "aren't that good".

Assuming Rex Grossman plays a full season, the Chicago Bears will make the playoffs.

I agree that an AFC team will go 10-6 and will not make the playoffs, and it's going to be my JETS who miss the playoffs. But it will be fun to watch them struggle again.

That's supposed to be a bold prediction? I'd say it's about what's expected this year, although I don't think it'll be the fault of the offensive line. Quick, name 3 starters on the Packers defense.
My bold prediction...the Packers will once again win the division, with the Vikings once again stumbling late in the season and finishing second. Then 2006 is when the wheels will completely fall off for the Packers.
