What a crappy place to hold a Superbowl, at least it's warm in Jacksonville.

I cannot think of a worse, NFL city to hold a Superbowl.

Discuss, Tell me why anyone should actually want to go to Detroit? What does Detroit have to offer, Close proximity to Canada, lose women, and booze?

Well, Atlanta has an old, domed stadium, but it's not awful, and it's a fun city, there is loads to do here, and it was 75 a couple of weeks ago. Detroit is cold, and I can't think of anything else nice to say.

We can't even fill our stadium without overpaying an average flashy QB 130 million bucks because there is so much to do here and so many people that live here from other parts of the country. We have to have a superstar to get people to attend a game. Say for instance,
Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh is so boring you could put Bubby Brister or Doug Johnson at QB and sell out every game. Hell there are as many Steeler and Eagles fans in Atlanta as there are in Pennsylvania. We can't control growth in Atlanta because of the companies moving in and around Atlanta.

Philadelphia at least has personality culture and history, as it pertains to the country. Detroit is the place where bad automotive companies live and die. I guess the motown music scene was a plus. Sure it's good Detroit can get some money out of it, but a huge social event like the Superbowl, should be in a big party town, like Miami or LA or something like that, Detroit? Nah. I'd rather go to Portland, at least the scenery is cool.

What does Philadelphia have to do with the topic? It's damn cold here in February, and we don't have a dome so it's not like we'd ever host a Super Bowl anyway.

I've been to Atlanta a few times. It's a pretty cool city...

I'm with the SportsGuy......they should just rotate it between Miami, San Diego and New Orleans (whenever that place gets fixed up). A popular radio host here, the same one who started the "wing bowl", started a campaign to have New Orleans host the Super Bowl every year once the city is ready.

I'm with whoever doesn't care where the game is played.

I agree with the New Orleans idea as well. I don't listen to sports radio anymore, but are you talking about Angelo Cataldi?

Yeah, I personally can't stand him but he is big.....and the highest paid radio host in Philly bar a wide margin.
