I wasn't sure if I should post this in Sports or A&E, so mods please relocate it if you see fit.
On the show Quantum Leap from the early 90's, in one of the episodes there was made mention of a Seattle-Pittsburgh Super Bowl, which was of course impossible at the time because they were both in the same conference. Isn't that some wacky shit?
Does anyone else remember this?

I did...it gave me goosebumps everytime I heard right around the part where Scott Bakula was swinging the bat as a baseball player...

i also dont remember it, but loved the show back in the day.
they didnt also predict the date did they? its pretty damn cool that they predicted the teams since like you said it was impossible back then, but the date would be amazing

Maybe your getting confused with the Pittsburgh Superbowl from 1996?
