C'mon guys--NOTHINGFAN asked a simple question, and the rest of you had to turn it into another Steelers-Patriots pissing match. :(

I'm splitting off every post but this one and the first one and locking the rest.

I should have just done that in the first place instead of getting everyone all fired up.

Ben to Letterman: Goal is to match Brady's feat
A BUSY (STEELERS) OFF-DAY
Wednesday, November 24, 2004

By Ed Bouchette, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Ben Roethlisberger told David Letterman last night on the Late Show that he'd like to follow in Tom Brady's footsteps -- a Super Bowl winner and Super Bowl MVP.

The Steelers rookie quarterback then proceeded to copy Brady's act by getting shutout in Letterman's Quarterback Challenge. Letterman took Roethlisberger in front of the Ed Sullivan Theatre on Broadway in New York City, and they tried to throw footballs into the windows of moving taxi cabs. Roethlisberger missed on a handful of tries, following Brady's 0-for-4 attempt when he was on the show.

At least Roethlisberger didn't get sacked. Letterman asked him how it felt after the rookie was sacked seven times Sunday in Cincinnati. "And you guys got pounded a little bit there, didn't you?" Letterman asked him.

"A couple times," Roethlisberger replied.

Roethlisberger gave credit to his line, his backs, his receivers and backup quarterback Tommy Maddox for helping him this year and laughed with Letterman on several occasions, once when Letterman asked him if the veteran Steelers haze him.

"They make you get up and sing," Roethlisberger said. "Every Saturday morning, I have to either bring -- if I have to be there early, I have to bring donuts, or if it's later, I have to bring Popeye's."

Letterman, laughing, asked as the audience applauded, "Well that's not so awful, is it?"

"No," Roethlisberger replied, "it's not too bad."

There you go again, making yourself look like an ass. congrats buddy.

1) They ask pretty clearly in the rules that people not have pictures in their sig lines.

2) Let it go Lou, you got what you were begging for - what Mighty Big Ben said on Letterman - so please, for the sake of all, let it go.
