if jamie could have run as consistently in the whole season as he has the last 10 or 15 races, then he would have easily been in the chace......but atleast i cant hope he keeps 11th :D

Is he still in the #11 spot or did D.Jarrett overtake that position?

i grew up in a nascar household so i followed it not by choice. but i saw the other week they nailed JR for 25 nextell points? did they give them back to him? if they didn't it is the most ridiculous thing in sports ever...its like telling a football team or anything that you won the game...but i am going to need to give you a loss cause you said 'shit' while getting interviewed....nascar is one of the if not the biggest sports in america....if you start doing shit like this it will ruin all of sports.

Yeah Jimmie is cool, his car owner (Jeff Gordon) is not. I wouldn't have mind seeing the championship hoisted by Jimmie, but DNFs bad finishes ruined it for him.

My driver is Tony Stewart, I'm just hoping for a 2004 Finish in the Top 5, that will be fine by me.

New board, and I still hate the chase. Glad to see DJ still running well though. I have high hopes for him next year. Even though it looks like he's gonna be about the only old guy left!!!!

Ahem. Anyway. I don't watch NASCAR at all, but I keep hearing about that points deduction for cursing thing and that's pretty much the reason I don't watch NASCAR at all.

Americans just revel in their stupiditity.

(No offense to any of you guys, but the average NASCAR fan--the bible-thumping, god-fearing, flag-waving, hypocrisy-loving, grade A moron--has to be about as dumb as rocks to let them get away with something like that. In any other sport, the public would be up in arms and rightfully so.)

and thanks much for posting the standings if the point system hadnt changed, its sweet to see where he would have been.

by the way, welcome to the nascar thread :D
