Goaltending is not the problem, the US is too slow. They may have been wise to take Roenick instead of Tkachuk or Guerin, at least JR can still skate.

true. maybe we should try to make the int'l people play our game, and bang the shit out of them. they'd probably just skate right around us though...

still, we let up 3 golas. miller rarely does that.

The two goals I saw, one was Grahame was being screened by his defenseman and didn't see the puck until it was in the goal. And the second, he made the first save and the rebound went right to a Latvian player who was standing by himself. I don't know about the third, I didn't see it. It was their first game though, and they only practiced once and a lot of guys didn't get in until yesterday. I don't think they have a realistic shot at a medal, especially with this tie with Latvia. I don't think Miller would make much difference, but he certainly would be an upgrade over what they have.

Esche doesn't deserve to be on the team, and I hope he doesn't start a game after some of the stupid things he says. He has no respect for anyone. He said he 'thought about not going' after Grahame was named the starter. Maybe if you weren't stinking up the joint you might be playing Mr. Esche.

Was he the on when asked about the other two goalies said one of them shouldn't even be playing in the NHL?

JR is a douchebag. He probably would've bet on the games and would have gotten the US team banned from Olympic play.

he's been hurt all season

his season has been bad, but flyers fans and people in general have turned on him so much. This is the same guy who was no.2 behind keith primeau in the flyers surge to the ECF. same guy who flyers fans couldn't stop beating off to when he badly outplayed brodeur.

He has'nt been nearly as bad as some flyers fans have said. His rebound control has always been this bad. He started off really bad, but had a very solid streak including one game where he dominated ottawa allowing 3 goals on 45 shots or something. then he regressed again, then injury. then one and a half game injury blah blah blah. but ever since coming back he's played fantastic. The loses were hardly his fault. The montreal game was the product of crappy play by the team in general, and the final two goals were glorious simon gagne set ups. he's played great for them since return from injury.

i find most flyers fans jump from player to player in a matter of a month and will never look back.

niity's season has been overrated. he's really been average at best. That 17 game stretch exposed him. He started off beyond awful, played well for a period of time, which was average at best benefiting from the great team in front of him. But ever since the detroit game he's been a sieve, save the 2/3rd's of the ottawa game.

I'm glad Miller's not there, in light of what happened to Hasek.
