Here you go... instead of going into every baseball thread to tell us how much you dislike baseball, you can come here to update us every now and then. Actually... this could be the anti-baseball thread...

Exactly. They took the sport I was the best at and gave 14 years of my life to and made it a mockery. Assholes. I'd like to make a mgGwire Hall of Fame thread

Maybe I haven't noticed because I only ever post in the off-season thread anyway...

That's because there have been like 2 baseball threads on RM in the last 6 months.

So if they clean it up, start catching people, enforce the policies they have in place... would you like it then?

I have to say that it's been pleasnt not seeing all the idiotic baseball threads in the past couple of months. BTW, i would love to be in the fantasy league. Just thought the timing was lame. Ya gotta give respect to the Super Bowl, the biggest day in all of football to half-assed football fans

You know what I hate? I hate that every sports channel does one week STRAIGHT of Super Bowl coverage. It's one game... and it's one week away... and they beat the thing to death and milk it for all they can get and get the same players to answer to same questions over and over again... for one week... before one game... no series or anything... just one game.

And that's just one reason why I dislike football.

I don't really hate it. I just hate a lot of things about MLB. The salary cap is #1. It's ridiculous that a team like KC Royals has no shot in hell of winning 80 games. That's just stupid. The length of the games in awful. The stepping out of the box after every pitch, the 8 throws to first base, the 10 minute wait for pitching changes, it's all unnecessary.

Clubber, you always say how boring baseball is. How can you really like the sport yet keep telling everyone how boring it is? If the problem is steroids don't you think that kind of contradicts all the boring talk being that it improved offense and power pitching?

The Super Bowl is the Easter Sunday for football fans. All of these idiots who don't know football, haven't followed either team and couldn't really care less are watching and claiming they have an idea what's going on. It's far worse than anything baseball has.

The Royals would have a chance if they spent the money necessary. Christ knows their owner has enough dough. You don't have to outspend the Yankees to do it, you just have to spend a middle-of-the-road amount (like the White Sox) and be smart and you'll be a playoff contender.
It's the cheap-ass owners that cripple teams, not the Steinbrenners.

I agree with this. The system isn't forcing the Royals to not spend money.

you've got to be kidding me. pro football is 100 times worse than baseball in this regard. three and a half hours of broadcast time for under ten minutes of actual playing.

sure...whatever  Overall, football may be more entertaining...but there are several things about baseball that are better.

and the owner of KC could outspend Steinbrenner any day he wanted.
Obviously KC doesn't generate the same revenues as the big market teams...but in any business you have to spend money to make money.
