im so sad...manny was my hero. :( but what a fight...spectacular.

marquez deserves this. well done and a great night for the mexicans.

i was impressed with farenas and oh my lord ...that 50 cent performance was a train wreck.

Other than the knockdown in round 3 and the ending, Manny pretty much dominated. He was on his way to earning a stoppage some rounds down the road, methinks. Not saying Marquez's win was pure luck, because he is a counterpuncher, but he looked in deep trouble in 5 and even 6. Props to him for staying focused enough through a broken nose to land that monster shot.

Makes you wonder why anyone cared about Pac-Floyd when Pac-Marquez has been there all along.

yeah...everyone complained about a 4th fight but everyone showed up to watch it anyway and boy was that worth every penny. the undercards were decent entertainment too.

i wonder how manny will handle this brutal defeat. i dont think he's gonna get all "hatton" about it but who knows.

If the immediate aftermath is any indication, he'll take it well:
http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/id/87 ... n-ruled-ok

It's still a tough loss for him. He did what everyone--including Roach--wanted him to do, and paid a huge price for it. He looked as good as he did against Margarito (his last great performance IMO). He was aggressive, pushing the action, connecting huge left hands. He threw everything he had at Marquez, but he got caught big time.

If Pac decides to keep fighting, Rios is as good a comeback fight as he can get. Definitely winnable for him and you gotta believe it will be entertaining. Marquez may seriously be considering retirement, but the right thing to do would be to fight Manny again if Pac asks him to. It would only be the decent thing to do after Pac gave him two chances to avenge the loss of the second fight.
