I'm sure it is! Must be nice to have such a class act and great fighter to represent the country so well.

Got pretty hammered before the fight and decided there is no way i was rooting for DLH so i put a nice chunk on Manny to win. Nice to see DLH take that beating as cruel as that sounds. Also nice to put some cash in my pocket as well.

congrats to manny and all the people of the Philippines. what can you say? manny's just an incredible boxer. and incredibly humble and honest too, never had anything bad to say about oscar or anyone, which can't be said of oscar, in his attempts to sell the fight, trying to make it personal or whatever. and goes without saying that manny is also the exact opposite of floyd in that area.

yeah...not sure what all the "experts" and everyone else were thinking when they predicted oscar winning. It was clearly a mismatch to me.

It seems a bit obvious now to me but pre-fight i wasn't so convinced. Then some buddies and I tried to figure out who was DLH's biggest wins against in his career. All we could come up with was Pernell Whitaker(in a bullshit decision in 01') and a win against an overmatched Gatti. He basically has never won a big fight against an opponent in his prime. That was enough to sway me to picking Manny but i sure didn't have the attitude jimmac had on it. I hope you took advantage buddy.

I was supposed to bet on the fight and the Hawks last night but I was taking care of the baby last night and just never got a chance to bet on either. I got enough satisfaction just watching that bloodbath. I have never liked Oscar, I thought he has been seriously overrated his entire career, he was a media darling and chicks liked him so he was over-promoted. Good for him and his wallet but to me he was a fraud. Look at his career losses. That alone tells you what a fucking fraud he is.

Because he's beaten a lot of Mexican fighters (De La Hoya (not really Mexican), Morales, Marquez, Barrera, Larios, Solis).

so whats next for pacman?

is a hatton fight first on the schedule?
i believe manny can win that fight but it sure will be a better challenge than DLH.

then mayweather jr. :o

Undefeated Mayweather calling out Pacquiao, kin says in report

A retired, undefeated fighter has reportedly expressed interest to fight Manny Pacquiao.

The name of Floyd Mayweather Jr., one of two high-profile fighters being groomed to take on Manny Pacquiao, has cropped up after a Michigan-based web site reported Mayweather Jr. informing a cousin that he "wanted to fight Pacquiao".

Floyd Mayweather Sr. talked to Michigan-based web site MLive.com and admitted that his son allegedly opened up to Bernice Mayweather, one Floyd Jr.'s cousins.

"My niece said my son told her he wanted to fight Pacquiao next, and that he wants me to train him for the fight," Mayweather Sr. said.

A Pacquiao-Mayweather Jr. bout will ignite interest in the boxing community. Mayweather Jr. retired in June as the sport's best pound-for-pound fighter, a distinction Pacquiao assumed afterward.

Mayweather Jr. finished his career undefeated in 39 matches. His last bout was against Ricky Hatton in December 2007.

In May 2007, Mayweather Jr. won a split decision over Oscar de la Hoya.

Pacquiao, who had an easier time dealing with de la Hoya, is also being considered to fight the power-punching Hatton.

Mayweather Jr. appeared to have been keenly watching the Pacquiao-de la Hoya contest in the weekend, another cousin Latisha Starling revealed.

"Right after the fight ended and I hung up, Janelle said her phone rang again and she thought it was me. But it was little Floyd saying he wanted to fight Pacquiao and he had to get in touch with his father," Starling said.

Mayweather Sr., a former professional boxer, worked as his son's trainer until 2001 when he parted ways with his son. - GMANews.TV

that would be awesome, for mayweather to fight manny. with manny in the ring, the action is guaranteed. hopefully floyd does come back and is still in top form.

any one interested at all for a Pacquiao vs. Margarito?

I know Pacman is great but Margarito is big.
Margarito did say that he would fight Manny.
they are both with Top Rank.

i don't know about that. i mean, i had my doubts before saturday, not because i doubted manny, but because i thought oscar was just too big, but we now know how that turned out.

however, margarito is not old, is not shot, in fact he may well be in his prime. he's even bigger than oscar, he punches harder, he throws a lot of punches, and his chin is monumental. by now i've learned to refuse to not give manny a chance in pretty much anyone he decides to take on, but margarito is a whole different story imo.

cotto would be a lot more likely for manny, if he decided to stay at 147, but i don't think he's even hinted at it as of today.

Go to the Wild Card gym in LA when he's training for his next fight.

I was looking at his record, two of his three losses were to no name guys. One of them doesn't look too bad though, he's 59-5, the other guy is 14-8. How awesome would that be to say you KO'd Pacquiao?
