Just wondering if anyone has XM and is it worth it for MLB and other sports packages? I am thinking about the portable, but have heard mixed reviews on reception.

Thanks

my dad loves it for sports (particularly when acc basketball is in action) he has an installed stereo in his car though, not a portable.

I rarely listen to the sports channels but it's worth it for everything else.

I don't not listen because it's bad, just rather listen to something else. I will check scores on college football and MLB alot.

I enjoy listening to football games when i am driving back from Auburn. I only wish xm had the SEC. I also love the mlb package. My favorite channel is comedy 150.

I wish Sirius had MLB, but it's really the only thing missing and I can pick up the red sox games on regular radio anyways. Sirius has the NFL though, NHL, Nascar, college hoops and football, NBA, it's pretty stacked.

I love this about the sirius folks...

XM still has NASCAR.
XM has the NHL
XM has the Big Ten, Pac 10 and ACC football and basketball.

XM=no NFL, no NBA
I would love to have the MLB package, but Sirius also has the NFL network on the air. If you love XM, that's cool, but I really do think Sirius is better

Thanks for all the input. So, what is the best deal, money-wise?
Is any package the best value?

appreciate it....

Which is fine, But dont use made up "facts" in your logic...
XM has those things

For the record, i think the NFL is the most overrated thing to have, unless you live outside the market of your favorite team...

4 game times a week- 2 are national- and therefore are probably on a local radio affliate (sunday and monday nights)... Your local team is one o the other games... leaving one game a week to MAYBE listen to- and the odds are, its on tv.
