As a follower of Aussie rules here in Ireland, I was wondering if any of you Aussie dudes were Carlton supporters? Could you tell me how Setanta O'Hailpin is fitting in?

I'm glad the Swans won last season, but boy oh boy do I hate this game.
I think Laura should be able to answer the question, though.

It's funny because where I live there's a couple of aussies livin', they call it " fag ball". I think it's a good game. I was just wandering how O'Hailpin was doing?

i havent seen o'hailpin play yet but if he's playing for carlton, he may as well go home or find a new club because they're worthless right now. the irish blokes always do well in general.
geelong won the pre season comp. it means nothing, but they're doing well.
the bombers are the greatest, duh
i haven't really been paying much attention yet though. the home & away season starts in a week or so.

How are Geelong's chances this year? I saw a couple of games last year in Melbourne, and they looked to be the best team that I saw by far.
i am a geelong supproter
and we are sucking major ASS atm
Exactly.....we looked awesome in the first 2 games, now it has turned to utter shit... They have no confidence, playing shit indirect football and just copped a 100 point floggin from Collingwood which is the worst game I have ever seen Geelong play in my lifetime.....it was a real discrace!!!

I thought my Doggies were looking the business this season until yesterday
I love me some AFL. I just think they are incredible athletes in being able to run that far for that long, i've always loved kicking a footy and the tackling involved so it's the sport form e.

I sorta got into it when I went for a kick around at Ivanhoe when I was over for a cricket trip, then really got into last year when a Sydney supporter at work and I would talk about it all the time. In between being hugely passionate about the NRL and good test cricket, I live in the wrong side of the Tasman
Now I have a fantasy team, a Bulldogs jersey, the works. Now I need a Sherrin to kick around the local park.

How are the blues getting on this year?
they actually won the preseason comp., which is good for them, but essentially means nothing. they came dead last in 06, which i'm grateful for because my team came second last
so far this year they're 1-1, but they will have a loss next week because they're up against my team . i might go.
basically they've bottomed out in the last few years and there's literally nowhere for them to go now but up.

Is Setantá O'HaÃlpin still playing for them? I remember watching AFL years ago when it was on terrestrial Tv but that fucker Murdoch bought the rights for sky tv. Cunt. I refuse to buy or pay for anything that right wing fascist has anything to do with.
