George Carlin once said that he rooted for the WS to be played between two cold weather, open field teams, and for rain delays to push the series deep into November, and then for it to constantly snow from there on out to create all kinds of havoc.

richard justice on PTI just mentioned something about the game being started again at 10pm, whenever they do play it. why? granted, its RJ so he was probably just talking out of his asshole again.

Game 5 (finally) finished tonight! I'm sure the weather in Philly is just spectacular for this partial game.
MLB really needs to fix this. It's been a problem for years....
Isn't this the first time a World Series game has ever been postponed or suspended?
It's the first time a game has ever been suspended mid-game. As per a recent Jayson Stark article at ESPN (that I now can't find) there have been about 4 previous occurrences where a WS was postponed/suspended when they hadn't yet started. Something like in like 1962, and of course the 1989 earthquake that held up the SF/Oakland series for a bit.
