i'm literally outraged,Derick thomas should have been voted in,he was better then LT,the man has the single game sack record,he's had 20 sacks in a season and he was a constant in the Pro Bowl.
this is just bull shit!

He was great, and he will get into the Hall, but he wasn't nearly as good as LT was, sorry..
sorry it's the chief fan in me that says he was,but honestly though he was a monster pass rusher who was a revolutionary at the OLB position,he didnt cover and play LB as well as LT but when it came to rushing the QB he was unmatched in his prime, god i used to love to watch him play against Jeff George, because DT figured out he opened his hands right before he got the snap and that helped him with the snap count, and man did he kick george's ass.it was great.

speaking of "do you think......"
do you think Barry Sanders would be the undisputed greatest back ever if he had a offensive line to run behind or would he not be able to run through holes he could actually see?

Mr.Sanders is "the undisputed greatest back ever ".

I dont think Barry would know what to do with an actual hole. Spantanious Combustion

Thomas will probably get in one day - he went to a ton of pro-bowls and was one of the premier pass rushers of all time.
but better than LT? that's a good one...........

Derrick Thomas was as good as LT, he just had a shorter career and didn't play in the media epicenter of the USA. He was stuck in Kansas City. If he was a Giant, there'd be no doubt about his entry to the Hall.

Thomas played 11 seasons, and LT played 13. Career length is not an issue.
And Thomas was voted to the pro-bowl 9 times, so it's not like he was overlooked playing in KC.
This isn't even a debate........LT was on a whole other level than Thomas.
On his best day, Thomas couldn't do 1/2 the things LT did on the football field.

You had me. Until this part.
ok it's a dispute rather DT was better then LT but i can say that watching DT was 5 times more exciting then watching LT.
you're right.....watching the opposing RB run right past DT must have been thrilling.

Thomas had 127 sacks and was the best linebacker of the 90's. He's a HOFer without question. Kansas City's defensive alignments didn't put him as a run stopper, so his tackles were limited, but his passrush was fearsome.
If he was a Giant or Bear, this wouldn't even be a discussion.
