What is the thinking behind the squibb kick? instead of kicking it normally, and giving the ball to the opponent at the 25 yard line, (average starting position) you squibb it and give it to them at the 39 yard line (average starting position for a squibb kick in the NFL). tell me. if the squibb is such a good i dea, why not do it all game long- not just at the end of the game?

that's an excellent question regarding squibb kicks.
I like your style.
Still feeling afterglow over Large Ben's heroics last night?

a lot of people have been saying things like "wait till he has to come back in the 4th quarter."

i think he played great. he never gets too excited or too frazled. i thought Jacksonville played tuff.

They played tough until the last 2 minutes. Why the hell, when the Steelers are around THEIR 40, moving into field goal position, are they giving the wideouts 10 yards of green? Large Ben looked good last night, but Bettis killed my fantasy team.

Cowher has to be Cowher, .5, you'll never change him.
Its a great win for them though, a good test in a hostile environment. Large Ben showed his largeness late, I salute him. He's 25% less gay than Tom Brady.

I believe that the idea behind the squib kick is that you sacrifice some field position in order to make it easier for special teams to make a tackle, thus reducing the likeliness of running it back for a TD.

However, I agree that that moment was not a good one for a squib kicks, since all the Jags needed was a FG.

Tom Brady isn't interested in getting any Squibb.

the idea is that it is harder to handle and also ensures that it isn't returned all the way for a touchdown, hence its use in key situations late in the game.

That was a great game last night, except the announcers probably said the following 1423 times:

"boy are they pounding each other"

or

"they are taking some SERIOUS hits"

..did they annoy anyone else?

Sarah, they are the worst announcers of all of the NFL. It's not just you.

Just to spite them, I hope Tom Jackson's #1 on Jacked Up was John Lynch utterly destroying Jesse Chatman.

I hate ESPN's crew, they ruin every broadcast they do. Paul McGuire played before they had helmets, and he and Joe Theisman couldn't be in love with themselves more. I'd really like them to die. Won't you kill them, jesus, please? Its their time.
