I wouldn't argue either of those although, at this point, I think it's going to be Ortiz & Pujols.

I think Jermaine Dye needs to thrown into the argument for the AL MVP as well, he's having an incredible year somewhat under the radar (I haven't heard him mentioned in MVP race).

No i think if you take beltran out of the lineup they prob still win the division.. i think wright reyes steals some votes, thats all.
howard might hit 55 homers and after losing abreu who was the so called main man there he should get it. what a monster this guy is.

edit..though if cardinals somehow stay afloat and get in pujols will get it i think.

well since MVP races are usually for power ...atleast Howard plays the field *coughs* ortiz.. utley is the phillies jeter ..howard is the just a beast :) ..utley is under rated if you ask me
