the last great player Notre Dame will ever produce?
pretty sad the state of the Irish, but how fucking sweet is it to see Jones doing so well?
ND always has awesome tailbacks but the type that doesnt translate well in the NFL.....Lee Becton in 93, Autry Denson after him, Ray Zellers, and even the kid they have now, Darrius Walker.....Denson played 2 yrs with the Fins, I was pissed when he got cut, but Jones looks like a stud!

its these kinds of things that make me want to watch a team again, or atleast not be pissed that they are the only game on. jones it quite exciteing to watch, and he is just going nuts now that he has his chance. cowboys fans should be happy that they now have one player to enjoy watching, now they need to have a good offseason and they might be good next year.

Jones obviously looks good, but let's not forget why he wasn't in the lineup until 3-4 games ago.
Durability could be an issue with him.

Well, Bill said he didn't want him to run the ball 30 times every time out, but he has so far since he's returned. The key is to tone down his carries a bit and spell him with Rashard Lee or Eddie. We'll see though. This last 7 games of the season he will have played will give us a good idea of his durability.

How about Phillip Rivers? He's on the market, you could just take over payments
there just aren't enough qb's to go around, they're going to be mediocre for a long time.
they could probably get John Kitna or Kelly Holcomb for cheap to stop the bleeding. As good as Witten is with workable wide recievers a decent QB would do very well especially with the good running game.

I think Witten's a stud, but it seems as if he's the first or second option on just about every pass play. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I think his numbers would actually decrease a bit if the 'Boys had better people at the skill positions. They've already been affected since Jones came back.

I don't know how excited I'd get about Jones running roughshod over the Seahawks. None of the LB's that played last night are starters and wouldn't start on any team for that matter. The defensive line has been brutal all season, and 4 of the top 5 tacklers on the team are DB's. Basically, it's easy to run on the Seahawks. Give it at least the rest of the season before we start blowing him.
Who was the RB that ND had at the same time they had Bettis?

do i start jj over amahn green for a while??
id say only do it if you have a large amount of crack to get over the regrets... im a cowboy fan, but counting on offensive production from this team to be comparable to greenbay wouldnt be very wise...
maybe if you have a great matchup for jones and a crappy one for green, but i dont think i would ever put green on the shelf
