I went to check out his career stats and saw that he was born in 1958... that's when it really kicked in that goddamit he's old. Most players with a birthdate in the 50s would have retired 10 years ago.

If he hadn't spent half of the 90s in Mexico and other parts unknown, he'd have 3000 hits easily. From 1992-2001 he only played in 549 games, about an average of 55 per season.
His lifetime BA is .300 and he's still got 2,535 hits.
Totall meaningless fact: I think he and Clemens are the only two guys still playing who appeared in the original RBI baseball.
