Since American Football only kicks the ball for a limited number of plays per game, I thought it might be a good idea to come up with a new name for American Football. The Europeans already invented football (soccer) and have a claim to that, so maybe we can come up with something different.

What about "Tackleball?"

Why don't we just sell that too? We could call it......Wilson. Or Nike.

Or the Insight.com game.

I thought most countries outside of North America refer to it simply as gridiron.

Another name for European football could be, "This sport is for pussies who can't play real (American) football"

When I lived in Australia I heard the locals refer to it as "Gridiron".

Thought that was kind of cool.

See, I'll take a good old riot between Polish and German fans any day over a 0-0 tie in soccer . . .
