An outdoor hockey game would be truly beautiful. I'm sure the NHL will fuck it up.

Didn't the Oilers or Flames pull this off?

I was at the first outdoor game in North America, the Michigan State-Michigan game back in 2001. It was an awesome event, but a boring game.

It's been done before by the NHL and it was great.

I don't know what you're talking about, that game was sweet. Was it the most exciting college game I've seen? By no means, but it was still above average in the excitement category.

And I think you should alter "first outdoor game in North America" to include in the recent past. I think there were quite a few back in the day.

Yeah, they did this in Canada with the Oilers and Flames. Cool idea. It should be nationally broadcast in HD, IMO.

Wasn't it Edmonton and Montreal that played?
