while I think AI and Pierce could play together....I don't think Doc Rivers is the coach to pull this off.

There's no way the Sixers get fair value back for Iverson. They should not trade him unless they get at least a younger, close to star player back. I guarantee if they trade him it will be the Barkley trade part 2.

I agree. It's a shame the Sixers can't bring in talent to go along with Iverson, but it's also a shame that such a talented player hasn't gotten a ring yet because he deserves it.

these trades are never about equal value though, cause in the NBA theres no such thing.
the sixers need to start the whole team over from scratch, AI is not going to win them a title. so trade him, get some building blocks, and try to reload and gear up for a run ina few years.....gee you hear that Knicks? sound like a good idea Zeke?

Unfortunately you are right. They only player I will say they HAVE to move is Dalembert. He is the fucking worst. People who don't get to see him every night will never realize just how bad of a player he is.

he'll likely be in a Knick uniform by January.

I'll take David Lee for him.

I think Doc Rivers would be the perfect coach for Iverson, he did a real good job of coaching Pierce after Pierce was upset about the team's direction.
There's another rumor out there that the C's trade the 7th pick for Sebastian Telfair. We obviously need a point guard.
And if you are talking fair value, the C's appear willing to give up Al Jefferson, probably the youngest big man in the league with the most potential. I'd hate to see them part with Big Al.

you'd have to take back somebody making similar $$. I can almost guarantee Isiah would trade Q Richardson or Mo Taylor in a deal with Lee to get him.

AI had his chance. I think it's in his and the team's best interest for him to leave.
He would help a lot with Celts. He and PP are great go-to guys, if they can't muster up some 1/2 decent role players...they'll be good.
To hit home your point, Billy King, the Sixers GM, admitted he is actively seeking trades in general. I think AI's time is up and it would be great to see him and pierce together. All you need these days is two superstars and some roll players.
