Hardly original, but still entirely appropriate:

ALWAYS appropriate. The wife was at a baby shower Sunday. My score updates read "Broncos 17 whale's vagina 7" etc... It's a shame Anchorman wasn't set in Oakland.

:haha:

I'm ready for a few 6-10ish seasons from the Chargers after the run they had the past few years. The AFC West is at its best when the Broncos are in firm control, the Chiefs are decent to good, and the Raiders are vying for 0-16 and blowing their 1st round picks on Russells and Marinoviches (or trading picks to the Patriots).

I hated that so many people were willing to call this game the lock of the week. I knew better--the Broncos never do well at Arrowhead. Glad they did enough to get the W.

Moreno stepped up and played real well.

I didn't understand why they started him until I understood that this could have been his last chance to prove himself on this team. Props to him for answering the challenge.

He was actually patiently waiting for holes and then driving into them rather than trying to dance to the outside and taking a loss. Manning seemed to trust him in the passing game. And the coaches trusted him to pass block (which is why I believe Hillman got way less action than most thought he would). Yes. Props to Knowshon.

Andre Caldwell: feels like he's wearing nothing at all!

Locked up the division already.

Still plenty to play for. NE has a couple tough games left. If Broncos win out, and Pats drop one, they'll earn the 2-seed. That road to the SB seems very do-able ... I like them against anyone in round two at home, and while the Texans are good, going to Houston would be the trip that worries me least. Going @NE or even @Baltimore in the playoffs doesn't make me feel good.

I completely agree.

The offense certainly sputtered when DT went down in the 2nd quarter. He's crucial to the team.

True. He's the only real deep threat.

A win is a win. It wasn't pretty, but none of these Thursday night games are. Got through it, now we have a few extra days to get healthy and get ready for the Ravens. I do not believe Denver has ever won against the Ravens in Baltimore. Do that next week and they won't have to in the playoffs.

3-6 against the Ravens all time. :gomez:

I realize it would have been nice if they pasted the Raiders 49-10 (a score that could have happened), but doubling up on them in Oakland on a short week is certainly a solid win. Having 10 days to prepare for the Ravens is huge.

Wow. Knowshon looks amazing, Harris is a stud, and the team is on a roll. I don't think I want a bye.

Screw that, I'm rooting big time for the Niners tonight. I'd still like to avoid playing at Foxboro in January.

Holy effing crap that was scary. (the Niners-Pats game)

But now we are in the driver's seat for a first round bye. I'm with you GH, the fact we won't have to face Brady on the road is just fine with me.

My emotions were all over the place during that game. It helped to text a friend who's a Niners fan to know that everyone was going through that.
