If he had done research, the hilarity that is his post would not have existed.

Excused.

I'd like to see a montage for Cecil Fielder.

I like that the fella that made it completely neglected to match up the lyrics with appropriate images. Also, adding the lyrics in a hideous gray font at the bottom was a nice touch for our deaf friends.

I agree. People forget Tino was benched for most of the '96 WS.

why the hate for Kirby... i was listening to Dave Winfield today and he said the best guy he ever suited up with was Kirby, handsdown... he said he was the best all-around guy he ever played with... that's quite a compliment when you consider who Dave played with in his career...

and i heard the exact same thing from someone else about a week ago, but i cant remember who it was... he may have had some marrital issues, but other than that, he seemed like a hell of a guy/friend to many in the bigs

Mostly because Kirby was a complete jackass to the entire world after he retired.

marital issues?

"His ex-wife told SI, "Over the years ... Puckett had also tried to strangle her with an electrical cord, locked her in the basement and used a power saw to cut through a door after she had locked herself in a room. Once, she said, he even put a cocked gun to her head while she was holding their young daughter."

yeah, uhh, i'd say he had some marital issues.
