I guess Texas felt like they needed to do something after getting swept by the Yanks.

Can we start one thread related to trades (and trade possibilities) if we're not going to use the Official MLB thread. I'm having trouble keeping up and would love it if we one thread to turn to. I don't want to miss any info . . .

shut it, Dusty
I wasn't criticizing, I'm just lazy and want a convenient place to turn for news.
Hey LA, how's that Furcal contract working out for you?

doesn't seem like a good trade for either team. Texas doesn't need another a hitter and if I was a Brewers fan I would be upset we traded him for two guys in Mench and Nix who hav already maxed out in their carrer. Not much room for improvement with these 2. I would have rather gotten a couple prospects in exchange for Lee.

What Texas NEEDS is output from the guys they currently have. Maybe a trade will shake things up. Fact is, pitching isn't great and offensive output is LOUSY. And they've got great hitters, they're just not hitting.

The Brewers also gave up their top minor league prospects in the deal.
