MOST DISAPPOINTING: Kevin Pittsnogle, Heat.
The tattooed power forward was an unquestioned college star at West Virginia, but he has struggled mightily with his shot so far in this summer league. His lack of athleticism and unwillingness to attack the rim have been apparent so far and were major reasons why he wasn't selected in the NBA draft.
Pittsnogle made just 1 of 8 shots in nearly 23 minutes Tuesday, with half of those shots coming from beyond the 3-point line. Not helping matters, he had more fouls (six) than rebounds (four).
In two games, Pittsnogle has hit just 2 of 9 shots.

Fuck Doleac, Miller, and the rest of the 97-98 Utes... i drove over 20 hours to be more disappointed than i ever was in my sport's life... also sold my championship tix for 40$ a pop

I could have told you Spittnoodle sucked a long time ago. He wasn't even the best center playing in the Capital Classic (WVU/MU). The moron doesn't even know what the word rebound means.

I knew you'd participate in this thread soon enough.

i know he did, but at the same time, so did mateen cleaves
my point was, everyone thought during his senior year he was agoing to shoot lights out in the L, when in fact, he faces a career like doleac, at best a 4-6 minute career game player

i never really understood what the big fuss was over this guy. he could nail a 3 pointer when it counted (sometimes) but other than that he was pretty useless. he's more like one of those guys that you don't put in all game until the final couple minutes when you're down.

Eh,...I'm disapointed but I can't honestly say I was expecting much from him. I guess I was hoping he'd surprise me.
Now Gansey on the other hand isn't even really getting any PT at this point. I think he only played 6 minutes the other day w/ only 1 FG. He is a workhorse though and I'm not sure I've ever seen a kid work as hard as this kid does. I really hope he gets some more opportunities to shine because the guy deserves it.

"After a so-so performance in the Orlando Summer League games for the Heat, Kevin Pittsnogle now takes the court as a Dallas Maverick in stage two of his NBA tryout at the Rocky Mountain Revue Tournament. According to the Mavericks' website, KP had a nice first game and even registered as a "fan favorite" during the course of the game."
KP went 4-7 with 11 points and 2 rebounds in 23 minutes of playing time.

Gray and Pittsnogle are 2 totally different players with totally different games. Gray was still projected late 1st rd, while Pittsnogle didnt even get drafted. Nice comparison

its a very good comparrison, both are big guys who are slow as molases who need to work on their game if they hope to have any longevity in the league. gray is a big 7footer, he needs to work on his blocking and his rebounding
pittsnoggle has to realise there is more to life than behind the three line

Maybe there's hope.
BoS, shouldnt you be here telling Peeps to shove something somehwere... i mean, your boy did get a 2-year contract... seems like a nice guy, so i hope he gets some toughness and makes something out of himself

PJA,
I don't even mess w/ Peeps anymore. No matter what I say it'll just get turned around into a redneck/inbred comment so why even bother.
And I am very pleased that KP is getting a shot w/ the Celtics. From what I know he IS a great guy and very much loved by W.VA. If he actually produces a few solid years in the NBA I will be extremely happy and proud.
