OK, Let's say that you had create your own MLB team, but your roster could only consist of current free agents (or any players that were free agents this season at all); who would you choose?
Here's my list:
Catcher - Jason Varitek
First Base - Carlos Delgado
Second Base - Jeff Kent
Third Base - Adrian Beltre
Shortstop - Edgar Renteria (Nomar Garciaparra a close 2nd)
Left Field - Moises Alou
Center Field - Carlos Beltran
Right Field - Magglio Ordonez
Designated Hitter - Richie Sexson
Starting Pitcher - Pedro Martinez
Starting Pitcher - Carl Pavano
Starting Pitcher - Derek Lowe
Starting Pitcher - Matt Clement
Starting Pitcher - Odalis Perez
Closer - Troy Percival
Relief Pitcher - Ugueth Urbina
Relief Pitcher - Armando Benitez
Relief Pitcher - Billy Koch
Relief Pitcher - Matt Mantei

Ya, you can pick any players u want; there's no budget. League: AL, thus the DH Home field: by that do u mean turf or grass? then grass.

If you do this there should be a budget. There aren't enough free agents to legitimately argue many positions at all.
Of course, some fucktwit would probably pick Eric Milton, so who knows.
OK, we'll do a budget of around $90 million; last I heard that was the D-Backs yearly budget, so we'll go by that. Too bad that throws off my entire roster, though.

All of your relievers are closers
That's what I love about fantasy baseball . But in all seriousness, Urbina and Mantei are pretty much set-up men at this point, and Kock's stock has fallen quite a ways (I think he was released recently), so he could work out as a reliever.
