After 7 years, the time to host our fantasy football league draft finally fell on me. Each year, the host cooks something for the owners. Two years' ago, it was chili. Last year some guy grilled a beef brisket. I'm struggling with what to cook. I don't want crap or something thoughtless (like ordering pizzas or grilling hamburgers). Preferably, I can grill it -- we are drafting on my rooftop, and the grill will be right here. I was thinking of deep-frying a turkey, but will probably burn my place (and my neighbors' places) down.
whatever it is it has to be something you can eat with a plastic fork or spoon, becasue guys are always flipping through the books and we don't have the time to keep cleaning our hands.
make it simple, i'd stick with chili and cornbread.

we do our draft at Hooters every year and let me tell you the combination of beer, chicken wings and boobs is great. If you want to use the grill, sausages and cheeseburgers is a good way to go, guys love that stuff. Make sure to grill some peppers and onions for the sausages and by all means, do not forget the beer. A case of Sam Adams Summer Ale is always a big hit.

make a ham. seriously. it's cheap, tasty, and easy. and it comes from a pig, so it's automatically man-food.
