the way the Birds are playin, Cincy will have the division lead by Wednesday
I want to kill myself. The cards will be lucky to make the playoffs at this pace
hopefully Carp started the beginning of a statement series tonight
a statement series against a team that's 3 games over .500.
god, the national league is awful

Don't speak so soon. The stos are a september team....I fear them.
Yeah, but when you lose two in a row to the fucking Cubs, with Roy Fucking Oswalt and Roger Fucking Clemens pitching, something is not right.
maybe you'll do better tonight with pettite against TBD.

Nice to hear the Scott Eyre is hurt and not available when Miller gets lit up because he can't top 85 on the gun.
if i'm dusty baker, i put carlos zambrano out there tonight and see if i can't finish off the starter trifecta i've worked so hard at since 2003. But i'd limit him to, say, 115 pitches.

whoops, looks like it's ryan o'malley. 7-7, 4.08 ERA in AAA. it's a good thing the astros suck.

Even if the Stros did make the playoffs again, who would be their closer? Lidge.... his brain has taken off this year in search of his 'mojo'. That Murton homerun last nite was embarrassing. I've never seen a batter be that ready for a fastball. I'm going today, I'll hope for the best in one hand and shit in the other.
