Superfight MW/185: Matt Lindland def. Jeremy Horn by TKO, 0:21 in Round 2 (ref stoppage) Lindland fucked him up. With this victory, Lindland is now the #2 ranked welterweight in the world.
I don't know how many of you are familiar with IFL (International Fight League), but it is the world's first MMA league. It has only been around for less than a year, but they have 8 teams each represented by coaches, cities and mascots. As you can tell by the results, the competitions are between two teams. Very cool. They show it on FSN. The team format should help MMA gain some popularity.

I have some beef with these rankings. There is absolutely no reason Wanderlei should be any lesss than #2 in the world. Cro Cop destroyed him, but Wandy was fighting up in weight. Not to mention that Shogun lost to Coleman a couple of fights ago. I fail to see this logic.
Nick Diaz one of the top WW in the world? The guy lost 4 of his last 5 fights. They were close and exciting and he fought a couple serious top level guys, but come on. Josh Koscheck would put the hurt on him.

Great title fight, Loiseau/Swick should be excellent, I pray Evans goes down (worst fighter to ever win TUF) and the return of Lil Evil!!!
PRIDE 32 - The Real Deal (10/21/06) HW Championship: Fedor Emelianenko vs. Mark Coleman

MW: Vitor Belfort vs. Wanderlei Silva
Cro Cop, Fujita, Barnett, Baroni, Nakamura and Nastula said to alos be having fights.
Rumor has it that Mike Tyson will be facing somone in an exhibition boxing match.
PRIDE comes to the US for the first time ever. His chances aren't good, but I'm going to be rooting for Coleman to put Fedor down. I'd like to see Randleman pull it off, too.
Overall, not the greatest night, but a superb title fight.
-Jens Pulver? Well, he's obviously not the unstoppable lightweight force he was 4 years ago. It looks like he won't be a contender anytime soon. The Miletich camp can't take all the titles, I guess. Haha.
-Rashad Evans looked better than ever, but he is still relying far too much on his wrestling skills and can't finish fights the way he should be able to. He was just an all-around better athlete than Lambert. Still...props on his unblemished record and finally not going the distance.
-Melvin Guillard didn't have too much trouble and I don't think that came as a surprise to anyone. That must've been one hell of a blow to the gut. I look forward to his next fight.
-The main event...fucking wow. Hughes was obviously frustrated with Penn in the first couple of rounds. Penn definitely took both of them. He out-struck him, out-grappled him and defended every one of his takedown attempts. It was very impressive. Then, Penn catches him in a pretty deep triangle choke for the remaining 35 seconds of round 2, and Hughes is such a fucking warrior that he toughs it out and doesn't tap even though he is turning purple. It came down to conditioning and Hughes was ready to rock in teh third round while Penn wasn't. I think The Prodigy might've gotten a little too complacent after his performance in teh first couple of rounds. My boy caught him, though. The undisputed welterweight champion of the world, Matt Hughes! Excellent fight.
