but i'm going to become a Thunder fan(as awful as that name is). I'm not from Seattle but took on the Sonics as my favoite NBA team in the early 80's. They were such a great team to watch for over 20 years for me and i think it's so ridiculous that their team is now in OKC, but i need a team to root for and i like the players on this roster rightnow. It just seems so wrong but since i'm not from Seattle i don't think it should be greatly frowned upon. I also am the only person i know that is in this sort of position, wish i could say the same for people from Seattle who got royally screwed on this. Plus the team has a shitty record right now so it's not like i can get charged with bandwagging. Go Thunder!

I don't root against Utah but they seem to be stuck in "2nd round defeat" mode. The upside with the Thunder is pretty good. They have some great young players(Durant, Green, Westbrook). It seems weird to root for an Oklahoma team but at least it seems somewhat original.

I loved the Sonics, but the whole OKC thing is still weird to me. If they were on, I'd probably watch them because I still like some of the players (Collison, Wilcox, Swift). I wish that Ridnour was still there instead of with the Bucks.

This is why I didn't try and convert you to a Jazz fan, like I did Nick.

Go with the Hawks instead. Once lazy ass Josh Smith is traded and they get a center than doesn't look like Neanderthal Man (ZaZa Pachulia) they'll be fun to watch. (Still pissed at Billy Knight though for drafting Marvin Williams over Chris Paul and Shelden Williams over a sack of potatos. We could have had yummy french fries instead we got another untalented lottery pick piece of shit oh well)
At least OKC changed the team name and colors. I hate when teams keep the name mascot and colors when they move to a new city.

Any fan of that team can suck balls.
buffalo braves?
I can name every move by an MLB team over the last 100+ years off the top of my head, but there are SO many NBA teams that have moved around that nobody could possibly keep track.
I see the Braves became the San Diego Clippers. Distinguished franchise.

Let's see...
Grizzlies: Vancouver to Memphis Jazz: New Orleans to Utah Hornets: Charlotte to New Orleans Sonics/Thunder: Seattle to Oklahoma City Lakers: Minneapolis to Los Angeles Braves/Clippers: Buffalo to San Diego to Los Angeles Royals/Kings: Cincinnati to Kansas City/Omaha to Sacramento (may have started off in Rochester if I'm thinking of the right team) Warriors: Philadelphia to Golden State Pistons: Fort Wayne to Detroit Nets: New York to New Jersey Bullets/Wizards: Baltimore to DC Hawks: St. Louis to Atlanta
I'm not sure if the Spurs or Nuggets moved around in their ABA days so that's another possibility.
Did I forget anyone?
