See ya later big guy.

His record of 11 wins in a row, and 18 in one season will never be beaten. Sure we really have no idea of what his competition was like, but the way the pros warm to him and really want to win his tournament (Byron Nelson Classic) says it all.

He had a pretty good run of it to get to 94.

The streak probably will never be beaten the competition now is much better, but dont forget that Tiger is working on 5 straight right now. That will be pretty tough to continue through next year.

I thought they counted the match play tourney Tiger got put out of prior to the Ryder cup. My understanding is the streak is over.

RIP Byron.

Fuck I used to live on the border of the Grove, I cant wait to see Tiger there..

Anyway im going off topic, any guy who gets a testing device that hits the ball dead straight every time named after him has done some great work.

Iron Byron, you're the man.

Yeah, and that had NOTHING to do with who his competition was.

Total class act.

Youd go a long way to find another player in the history of sports that dominated in such a ridiculous fashion that Nelson did in 1945. Shit thing is that I bet alot of the people who watch golf wouldn't much about him, or would say "Byron Nelson, they sponsor one of the tour events dont they?"

"Nelson's 1945 season is the best ever by a male golfer. He won 18 times, including 11 tournaments in a row. He did it with a 68.33 stroke average that was not bested for another 55 years."

Tiger beat it in 2000 with a 67.79 avg and in 2006 he has a 68.00 avg with a few events left.
