I hate almost every local team around me except for the Knicks. Im in CT so everything is NY & Boston. I despise the Patriots (im a Rams fan) and the yankees, and I dont mind the mets, jets or giants most of the time.

And up until 20 minutes ago I was a die hard dodger fan, but thats all over with. they can suck my ass, im done with them.

I'm in the Northwest, yet none of my favorite teams are from the region. Sucks sometimes for braodcasting purposes.

I became a fan of the Broncos and Niners from the Super Bowl that they played in. I was a big Celtics fan back in the days of Bird, McHale, Parrish, et al. That transcended into other Boston teams (Red Sox, Patriots).

oh and being in Connecticut I am treated like a lepper because i FUCKING HATE EVERYTHING ASSOCIATED WITH UCCON BASKETBALL!!!

I hate the mens team, and I hate the womens team even more. CT has no pro teams of their own so everyone here treats Uconn like Jesus ran the program.

And the Womens team does NOT impress me. out of the top 8 girls bball players in the country , 5-6 of them wind up at Uconn. so the level of play isnt exactly top notch

Well besides the obvious love for the Huskers I like a variety of teams from differen areas for different reasons. I like the Raiders, White Sox, and Lakers.

I was born in Nebraska and gave up on the Huskers when Lawrence Phillips went in the orange bowl.....I thought it would be hard but it wasnt

I'm from Chicago and my favorite football team is the Dolphins. Mainly because of Dan Marino. But i still love the Bears, they are a close second, especially this year

Grew up in Dayton, Ohio. i live in Oregon. and in January will be moving to Tennessee. through it all, i have been a Duke hoops fan since '86 and a Reds fan (though most of that time was spent as a closet reds fan  ) and a Steelers fan. NBA-don't really follow one team, but Portland is not my favorite, that's for sure. and actually, if it wasn't for fantasy football league here at work, i'd wouldn't give two shits about the NFL either, but Pittsburgh has always been my favorite since i was in first grade, and i just turned 30 this year. Franco Harris and John Stallworth used to be my two favorite players.

I am from Chi-town too, but I dislike most of the teams from there. I do root for the White Sox, but they aren't my favorite baseball team. I am also a closet Bears fan. I do however root for Illinois teams when it comes to College sports. Go UI and NW!

My mom grew up watching the Vikings and it rubbed off on me. As for the NHL, the Colorado Avalanche are my favorite. They were on TV one day (right when I started to get into hockey), and I was just amazed with Forsberg (my boy!), Sakic, Roy and Foote. I was hooked after just 1 game. I became an Atlanta Braves fan because we have TBS here and most of their games were on, so I would just watch. Now I love them. Then there is basketball, which I don't watch as much as I used to. I was a huge Houston Rockets fan back when Olajuwon and Barkley were playing.

Even though I plan on moving back to Chicago, I am certain that I still won't root for any of the teams.

technically pittsburgh doesnt havea pro hoops team, i followed the lakers from 1983 - until last year, right now i dont follow any one single NBA team, but i like to watch the grizz, the suns and minnesota, and ill watch indy and the heat cause of shaq and the brawl

as far as hockey goes, penguins regradless of how shitty the team is

college basketball, i watch some pitt games, but since 1988-90 when i attended my first roundball classic and saw a kid named hurley and mcafferty playing, i followed duke.

cant stand baseball, and college football bores me for some odd reason

I root for our local football and hockey teams, but I grew up an Atlanta Braves fan (since there were no baseball teams in Florida at the time) and my parents would drive up to Atlanta for games every season..and just because the Devil Rays are near here, I'm going to always be a Braves fan..

I don't root for any New York teams. When i was little i wanted to root for somebody else instead. I think most people root for who their parents did. Since my dad was a bookie he didn't root for teams. Therefore i became a Colts fan, Sonics, Mariners and Blackhawks.

Only home teams for me. I have other favorite teams but no team is ahead of the home teams.

I grew up a yankee and am still a yankee fan. I moved to florida from new jersey when i was 21. Though i am a die hard yanks fan, i still support and route for the d-rays when they are not playing the yankees.

I'll always support all of the Detroit teams and am a diehard with the Tigers, Wings, and Pistons. The Lions were hard to follow because they just ripped out hearts out year after year, then the horrible management in the late 90's just turned me out. I'll still watch and support them, but I'm not emotionally involved :)

When I was really starting to love baseball there was this guy named McGwire and another named Canseco who had some unbelievable seasons. The A's also had Reggie Jackson at the time, and I thought that was pretty cool. So I started to follow the A's as well as the Motor City Kitties.

Around the same time, John Elway was having some ridiculous games against the Browns and I started to love the way he played the game. I'm not a HUGE Broncos fan, but college football always ruled my roost anyway.

I spent many, many September-November afternoons here:

Im from Buffalo, but I am a Sox fan. There is no MLB team there, but if they did get a team back instead of the stupid Rockies, I would probably root for them.
