I'm going to be in LA right around the Dodger home opener...how hard is it to get tickets to that game? (I know they are not on sale yet)

shouldn't be that hard, home opener usually sells out pretty quick, but the following games are usually pretty easy to get.

Good to know, thanks!

Looks like my trip is getting moved, so hopefully they'll be in town when I'm there. I really want to go to Dodger Stadium.

Dodger stadium was just renovated last year, so it should look nice and cleaned up. Haven't been there for a couple of years, but I love the atmosphere at the Ravine. So much history there in just 30-40 years.

Aren't some of the upper level/nosebleed seats supposed to have a fantastic view of the scenery around the stadium?

yes.

Where are they (ie, 1st base side, 3rd base side, how high in the upper level, etc.)?

I got a fuking laugh out of this one:

today was the DOdgers first ST game. JAson Schmidt pitched 2 scoreless innings.....and then future Cy Young winner MARK HENDICKSON gives up 7 runs in 1 and 2/3 innings......the cocksucker is already in midseason form!!!!!!!!

I havent seen a pitcher take the mound every time with such little passion or guts or enthusiasm since chan ho, but at least he had a tiny bit of talent

yeah I remember when Chan Ho was the man for a couple of years.

so I'm guessing Hendrickson will be your new scapegoat for this year?

nah, that fool wont be anything more than a mop up guy. IM gonna miss Nancy Drew....it may be BEtemit unless he stops making errors at third and learns to hit righties. Plus Im a huge fan of LAroche, I think the kid is going to be our David Wright some day

Betemit is likely to be nothing more than a stop-gap until LaRoche is ready. Unlike Nancy Drew who was expected to be a legit #4 hitter.

that would be a good idea. Kent could likely use a few days off during the year as his years are starting to catch up to him. Would be nice if Nomar could stay healthy all year.

Ok, Dodgers fans, I have a ticket question for you. I'm going to be in LA for a few days, and am looking to buy tickets for a game.

Am I better off sitting in Row A of Section 43, or Row BB of Section 22. Basically, closer to the field, but further down the 3rd baseline, or much higher up, behind first base.

I've never been to Dodger Stadium, so all help is appreciated! Thanks!

The Dodgers look pretty decent on paper, which is a perfect setup for a season of injury plagued players, under performers, and total letdown.

Duck the Fodgers.

I disagree completely. They look great at the senior center.

indeed :)

we all know no matter how good or how bad LA/SF are, it usually always comes down to the 2 of them fighting it out for the west, and it should always be that way.

I'm going to be going to my first Dodgers game this season. I fly into LA on the 1st of April - and am hopefully going to see some away games as well as home games.

Can anyone recommend any grounds/games to go to? I can only stay in the states for 3 months (am going to road trip up to Canada where I'm going to work for a year). Been a baseball fan since birth/Dodgers fan since I was six, and bar the (now-defunct) Australian Baseball league and one game in Japan (Giants v Lotte at the Tokyo Dome - wicked fucking experience in it's own right), have not seen many professional games. Any recommendations?

definetly catch them while they are playing the Giants. Just going to Dodger stadium is a nice experience. Other teams I would recommend seeing in person would be the Cardinals, Angels and Mets.
