maybe i'm just spoiled from being a mets fan, but this team, to me, is really unexciting to watch..... i may have moved here but my loyalties will always be with my queens boys
I gotta disagree here. I think they're one of the more exciting teams in the league cause they are filled with young players that nobody knows. Plus nobody respects them which makes them more easy to root for. Yanks fans here have NO respect for this team which is funny cause i think Seattle has the better overall team. I can't believe i might be into baseball during football season. Seattle is the best story of this season, just glad to be a fan.
i wanna hear you say that after you sit through a game at safeco my friend
I would love to go to Safeco. Hear it's one of the best stadiums in baseball.
so you and the little lady come on down then. you guys can stay with me.
The lady is actually heading down there mid september. I however, don't go anywhere during football season.
Why not? The Colts are gonna suck this year after losing all those key players in the off-season.
Sorry...don't mean to hate on a fellow M's fan, just givin' ya a hard time.

These are the M's I have been expecting for a long time. Important stretch and they lose 5 in a row so the Yankees can have the wildcard. They need to get this right soon. They seem to be making a lot of mental mistakes.

I have been but that's not why i believed it. Seattle has had the best RP's and defense for 125 games and for some reason they haven't showed up for the last 13. Just ran out of gas i guess. At least they made it longer than Hardgrove. Plus they're still only 2 games back in the loss column. That being said, i think they're done

Correct me if I'm a little off with this stat, but earlier in the year the M's were on pace to be the first team ever to have a winning record despite being outscored over the course of the season. Or maybe it was on pace to be the first playoff team to ever be outscored...something like that. The guy who wrote the article for ESPN.com was flabbergasted by this stat. I didn't think it was that big of a deal at the time, but it looks like he was right and the team's luck just finally ran dry.
Dammit. I wanted to see some playoff games this year.

Somebody at the Seattle Times found out that no team that was at least 20 games over .500 at the 126-game mark of a season has ever retreated as quickly as the Mariners, who lost 12 of 13 before winning on Sunday. That's pretty impressive. The research, of course, not the record.

Once Steve Phillips predicted the Mariners would win the wild card, their collapse was inevitable.

They were talking about this on Mike & Mike this morning. The Mariners' collapse literally can be traced to the time when Phillips made his prediction.
