The Twins are 24-10 over their last 5 weeks of play and the standings are tightening up. As of the All Star break the Twins are 6.5 games out of first place and just 1.5 behind the ChiSox for 3rd place. This club is still being killed by injuries. Morneau, Kubel, Span and Delmon Young are all still on the DL (Delmon Young is set to return after the break). The Twins start the second half of the season with 12 consecutive home games. Watch out Detroit, Cleveland, and Chicago, It's happening!
Your reasonableness as a fan almost outweighs PhatJ's ridiculousness. Almost.
well, almost thanks then. on a serious note, i think the tigers have a 2 or 3 year window if they stay healthy. i'd love to see them ride verlander's arm all the way this year, because when a guy throws that kind of heat, you just never know. i'd also like to see inge win. that fucker always kills us, but i love watching him play. kc resembles the football lions in that their time is soon, so detroit needs to make hay here. for now, go midwest! go tigers!
verlander is about to throw. i'm no tigers' fan, but i am a baseball fan, and this guy fits the cliche of "someone you tell your grandkids you saw play."
