Well,
then I'm just going to post the two best goals ever:

one by the best team ever:

Carlos Alberto with the 4-1 in the 1970 World Cup final between Brazil & Italy.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBeXHYvDsHQ

(look from 1.44 till the end)

one by the best player ever:

Maradona against England, World Cup 1986

Thank You Vieira for this magnificent pass to Ryan Giggs. 1999 semi-final of the FA Cup. An important step to the treble. 8)

I've seen some archival footage of a goal Garrincha scored. Don't know where I can find it, but it's basically him toying with the other team, dribbling past everyone, then purposely avoid taking the pot shot at goal, just to dribble past everyone else again before he finally scored.

1. I post a great goal, you post a fucking penalty shoot-out, aka the one thing I'd like to see removed from football.
2. I post a Man United vs. Arsenal goal. Childish as you are, you feel the need to react with some victory by Arsenal against Man United.
3. That the most undeserved FA cup winner ever. And I bloody bet you know that.

You're talking absolute shite. You respond to a great goal being posted up with your own petty agenda. Bayern twice hit the woodwork against you at 1-0 up, Bergkamp missed that penalty, and every game we lost that season we lost due to poor refereeing - the Wimbledon handball goal, Keown should never have gone at Hillsborough, Hasselbaink should have been sent sent off before scoring at Elland Road, and Hendry should have been sent off in the build up to Villa's offside equaliser for kicking out at Vivas. You get what you've been given. For once you lost the kind of game you've won time and time again and it happened to be a cup final and you just can't deal with it. As much as I hate penalty shootouts they're a fairer way of settling things than giving one team half an hour more to score an away goal than they're opponents (Arsenal-Wigan anyone?)

Don't give it if you can't take it. You've mugged yourself off on this board with your response good and proper.

Is he really?

Pretty accurate assessment there, methinks.

Again, pretty accurate. The thread is about great goals, not "your own petty agenda"

Again, what's the problem? The Arse were outplayed on the day, and of course there are times United should not have won but did. It's football! I'd say that your response to Angus' displays more of your own "petty agenda" than his, if he has one.

Hahahhahahaha.

Let's stick to great goals. I posted one. You didn't. End of story.

I won't ignore that. Apart from a great result in 1986 (when we eliminated Holland to go to Mexico), Belgian football has mostly and utterly sucked. And as things stand now, I don't see any change coming soon. There is a reason a lot of good young Belgian players play in Holland.

I'm going to own this topic:

Eder on the World Cup 1982. Brazil had such brilliant team then. Too bad Rossi kicked them out.

Especially for my dear friend Hallucination:

one of the best goals that were scored against Man United the last 10 years:

Redondo-Raúl, Champions League 99-00

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JB2m4VAJGwk

Redondo, what a player he was!

so much for creating a rift ;)

so do you think it would be a good idea to unite the leagues from both countries?
