maroney is not a free agent. asante is, so the pats need to re-sign him. but maroney isn't going anywhere, so why did you bring him up?

There was a lot of talk about them making a run at him but he has had a great playoffs so I imagine his price went up. I would expect the Pats to bring him back though it will be interesting with their history of not giving out huge contracts, this guy will command big money on the FA market.

If the pats don't get him I hope he goes to the NFC someplace. If he ends up in the division (NYJ) i'll be pissed b/c mangini will create around him.
