This should be fun. I'll start

Jeremy Jacobs

Bought the Boston Bruins 2 years after they had won the Stanley Cup.
33 years later they have yet to win it again.

A cheap, miserly cunt who wasted the primes of Ray Bourque and Cam Neely by refusing to spend money on the team to put them over the top when they were on the cusp of winning the Cup.
Flat-out refused to spend an adequate amount of money on the Bruins payroll year after year despite making money hand over fist and the Bruins profitting more than any other local team.
Whined incessantly for years about other teams spending too much money and blamed that on the why the Bruins never won a championship under his ownership. Yet he signed Martin Lapointe to an outrageous contract just to spite Detroit's owner for calling Jacobs out for being such a cheap fuck.
Once a salary cap was put in place the Bruins unnecessarily gutted a 100+ point team from '04 and have missed the playoffs badly for 2 years.

Despite the team being located in a cold part of the country with a rich hockey tradition (high school, college AND pro) and an interest in pro sports that only ranges from "intense" to "unhealthy", the Bruins have gone from being possibly the most popular team in New England when he bought them to competing with college sports for attention.

Referred to Joe Thornton as a "competent" player shortly after the latter won the MVP award following being traded from the Bruins in a salary-dumping move.
Incredibly denies that players don't want to play here because of him despite players flat-out saying so publicly.

Such a vain, loathesome prick that he forced one of his (no-doubt underpaid) employees to write the following glowing tribute:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeremy_Jacobs

Belongs on any objective list of the 10 worst human beings who've ever lived, somewhere between Pol Pot and Jacques Tati.

His (hopefully long and torturous) death will be celebrated in the streets of Boston as joyously as any championship.

The Twins should have dominated this decade as the Yankees did the previous one. Unfortunately they're owned by that cheap docuhebag.

I wouldn't care if Charles Manson owned my team if he got this guy's results.

No doubt. Bill Bidwill's the only one that can really challenge him in the NFL.

Al Davis's glory days are long gone.

Donald Sterling has to make the list, even though he may have finally wised up.

I'm sure whoever owns the Chicago Blackhawks has to be on the list, as well.

The owners of the Chargers are pretty bad for not going after Pete Carroll.

I disagree, letting AJ Smith fire Marty without anyone viable to replace him was worse.
Pete won't go anywhere that he doesn't have control over and SD would be even bigger fools to let Smith go.

Yeah, the Bidwells are the joke of the town. I think they're singlehandedly responsible for me not really following football.

Some coaches are better off staying with college.... That includes Rick Pitino and Pete Carroll.... trust me

and yes Jacobs may be the worst owner in the sports industry...

Amazing what 15 years of success can do. Halfway down the first page and no mention of George Steinbrenner. Unimaginable in 1992.

I would say the phillies ownership which has only been to the playoffs once in 24 years but they have gotten a new stadium and have had 5 winning records in the last 6 years (the only non winning season they were 80-81).

Gotta go with the Hawks, Devil Rays, Bruins, Royals, and Arizona Cardinals.

I have to agree. This guy has taken die hard Knick fans and either made them indfiferent or worse, rooting against the team because you hate Dolan so much that you could not stomach the team winning on their watch. On top of that, he rounds off his financial errors with the Knicks by charging the highest cable prices (or one of the highest) in the country. I know Houston is still on the payroll and I think LJ still might be. Complete garbage
