ahhh... the Derby.... been twice and plan on having my bachelor party in louisville all weekend at next year's... i actually like bellamy road even though the favorites dont hit too often (though they have 2 of the past 5 years)...

go with it if you like him/her (colt or filly?)... the derby is the most unpredictable event in all of sports... you might as well have a 3 year old child pick for you... the chance you'll win is just as likely as asking the world's foremost expert on horse racing prognostication... and with a full field, you might as well try to get good money on your bet

Yes it is so unpredictable. Usually when I go to the Downs here in Erie to bet on a weekend sometimes I just pick the names cause they sound sassy, if you will. I don't look at the stats most of the time. I've gone and bet about three times and so far I've won about $200.

200?... nice work... the feeling of seeing your horse head for home and pulling to the lead is almost an unmatched emotion... or how about seeing your horse die when it comes around the final turn... man i miss the track... even the OTBs are fun as hell... ever been to Churchill?... anyone who hasn't i would advise to go at least once in your lifetime... such a great time... and the infield is pretty much a mini-mardi gras (tits and all, not that this would entice a female to participate, but it may drag some guys that way)... when im there i could actually care less about the party going on, it's the races every 45-minutes that gets my blood pumping
I've been to the Preakness and the Belmont.........both of which are very good times.
Preakness gets a little more crazy, but you fry out there in the infield all day. At the Belmont, there's plenty of shaded areas which is nice.
