"This isn't about the sport," Councilman-Elect Vincent C. Gray said. "This is about greed. If the deal that's on the table loses baseball for the District of Columbia, good riddance."

Oof... things are getting rough over there... if the team stays in Montreal, thats going to be disaster...

I don't think it can stay in Montreal. I've read if DC doesn't work then it will play in Northern Virginia next season.

yeah, the mayor of DC wants tax money to pay for the stadium. Its a shame, considering DC's schools are horrendous, the murder rate is through the roof, and hospitals are closing. The Mayor claims it will revitalize the area, but I think the tax money should be spent elsewhere.

It's refreshing to finally see a government finally stand up...it's about time the era of publically funded stadiums comes to an end.

CONTRACT the damn Expos/Nationals!

If MLB is free market, then a failing team that nobody wants really has no place in it.

Vegas baby VEGAS!

Strippers on the dugouts. A brothel in the outfield, Strippers on the foul poles. 150,000 square foot casino, Easy off season conversion to a horse track. Vegas needs this pathetic excuse for a franchise.

Step it up MGM.
