The Eagles played great but not amazing today. I don't see this game being a cakewalk--however, I will revert to my earlier stance and say it would take a pretty big choke job on the Eagles' part to not make it to the Super Bowl.

ill be hopeing that the falcons can knock off the eagles, and keep them from the superbowl for the 4th straight year. i just think that it will be more fun to watch vick in the superbowl. and if the colts could make it also then it would probably be the most fun superbowl in quite a while

It'll be fun no matter which of the five remaining teams make it. I'm one who believes that "fun" in football is more than just a parade of offense.

definatly, but more then just offense, it would be the 2 scariest players in the league faceing off, it could be a defensive game, but i doubt it

does anyone here actually think the falcons have a legit shot? i mean i guess any team has a shot on any sunday, but i think the eagles are better than the falcons in just about every aspect of the game.

yes.
You act like they dominated the vikings yesterday.
The falcons have a superior running game and special teams, and an equal front seven on defense. This game could go either way, it will be decided by gameplanning and by which qb has the best game. It should be a great NFC championship.
The eagles looked FAR from invincible yesterday.

0-3 in NFC championship games. Yeah, you should worry.
The falcons play great defense and they run the ball well.
The idiot sportswriters in the nation focus on Michael Vick. That's just poor journalistic effort. He just makes for fun highlights and sells tickets. This team hinges on the offensive and defensive line play as well as special teams. They are much more complete than anyone has cared to notice in the national media.
It's a good thing for you Andy Reid and the Eagles coaching staff are a damn site smarter than the majority of thier fans. Underestimating the Falcons is stupid. Do the Eagles have the deck stacked in thier favor? Certainly, should you be worried about the Falcons? You'd be an idiot not to be, the Falcons match up very well defensively with the Eagles offense and they play with tremendous intensity. The Eagles defense is fantastic and I'm interested to see what kind of plan the Falcons coaches come up with. I think it will be a very good game.

did you watch the game, they did dominate the vikings. you can argue that atlantas run game is better, which it probably is, but its pretty obvious philly is not a running team. i would still take westbrook over the combo of dunn and ducket anyday of the week. you may be right about atlantas front 7, i havent seen them play too much this season, but they are good, but what separates philly's D is that they have the best secondary in the league.

I'll agree with that. the Philly secondary is stellar. I'm hoping they get introduced to 252 lb TJ Duckett, early and often.

I watched both games, and neither team in Philly was sharp or impressive, the eagles defense looked solid though. Its great to have a good secondary, but against a team like the Falcons that throws maybe 18 times a game, tops, I don't see how they win it for you. You'd take westbrook over Dunn and Duckett because you're a Philly homer. Westbrook is a great reciever, and really versatile, but dunne and duckett are both better pure runners between the tackles.
Like I said, it will be a great game, and it will be decided by Vick's feet or Donovan's arm.

westbrook is a bigger weapon than dunn or ducket. he can line up in the backfiled or split out wide and can return punts/kickoffs. i guess it would be fair to say that westbrook fits philly better than dunn or ducket would and dunn/ducket fit atlanta's O better, but overall westbrook is much more of a threat.
im not saying its impossible for atlanta to win. atlanta is good enough that if they control the ball and capitalize on some mistakes by mcnabb they can win. and the fact still lingers in my mind that its an nfc championship game again, and one of our best players is hurt, and we could be on the brink of heartbreak, again, we'll see sunday though.
oh yeah, id like to see dawkins lay out ducket too[/i]

You just have to admit, there were ALOT of chinks in the armor for Philly yesterday, they overcame them because they FAR outclassed the Vikings talent-wise, and as usual Mike Tice was outcoached, but if the Falcons play decent, and the Eagles play as unfocused as they sometimes were yesterday, it will be deja vu all over again in Philadelphia.
