Mine were:
1) Rangers win the cup. 2) Piazza's game winning homer, 1st game after 9/11 3) Rangers trade for Messier 4) Yanks beat Mets in 2000 Subway Series. 5) Douglas knocks out Tyson

Don't forget that at least 80 % of the people who are voting from the NY market so the votes are going to tend to sway towards NY related moments.
I included Buster Douglas just because of the sheer surprise that Saturday morning when I woke up and saw that Tyson had lost. Probably the biggest "upset" I have seen in my years watching sports. At the time, the sports world viewed Tyson as indestructable. (Little did we know he would soon self-destruct).

not sure how Matt Bahr's FG vs. SF doesn't make the list of choices.

How did Gibson's WS HR involve or impact New York sports?
its not so much NY sports as it is sports that WFAN has broadcast in their 20 yr history. they must have carried the 1988 WS broadcast because Jack Buck's call is on the list (though Scully's TV call of the home run is far and away the better call)

I was just reading the site's criterion for selecting the choices (involving or impacting NY sports). I wasn't sure if all of them actually had anything to do with that criterion.

the Mets are dominating the list so far. how does the Mets signing Pedro even make the list...let alone come in 11th?

im guessing because most people who voted were of the age group that had no idea about anything prior to 1998
how the fuck does Endy Chavez's cath LAST YEAR make the list of 20 greatest sports moments?????????????????? are you fucking kidding me?
the Mets fans must have hijacked the poll.... The Piazza 9/11 home run just came in 5th. How in the blue hell does that rank ahead of Matteau?

Especially considering the Mets didn't even win the damn game.
Even thought I’m a Mets fan I agree neither the Chavez catch nor Pedro signing belong on the list.
I think the Endy catch belongs simply because it was so amazing.
for further proof the Mets fan hijacked the poll...Yanks blowing the 04 ALCS came in 4th.
