I don't think I have seen a golf thread on RM yet. So I figured I would get one started.

Who here are Red Mosquito plays golf?

If you do play, what is your Handicap, and your best 18 hole round?

I play, but I suck... I used to live on a country club golf course in Cincinnati when I was younger, so I used to be pretty good... My best round on 18 was +6, so a 78... I kind of stopped playing as much after that, so I only got worse... and my 8 and 2 irons both were stolen and I still haven't replaced them...

But yeah, I would call myself a golfer... tennis will always be #1 though

I work at a golf course, so I get quite a few rounds in during the summer. I am not very good though.

Is it that bad, that you can not share your handicap and best score?

I worked a Country Club of the Poconos as a Ranger/Cart Attendant for my first job ever in high school. It was awesome

I also played on the golf team. I was actually horrible for my first year but over the two years I played I came along pretty well. My best score was an 89 which was apart of my high school's record low of 393. During high school I played practically EVERY day. Some of my friends were super hardcore players would had 1,2 handicaps. Although I don't play as much anymore, I do manage to go out with my dad and brothers a few times and my friends a few times a year

I don't play often enough anymore to have a handicap, but my best round ever was an 85.

That one spectacular shot was just one of many that came to mind. Let's face it. I used to own you. We haven't played since Florida last March and if Todd didn't start going a beer and a half a hole and having to keep up with him I would remember much more of that round of golf. Besides I seem to remember that little match Karl wanted to set up and who he was willing to lay his cash down on........and it wasn't you or Lonzo...

Hahahahahah 0.2 my ass.

my favorite sport other than baseball.....I never officially did my handicap but when I used to play about 3 or 4 times a week back in the 80s and 90s it was probably around 8 or 9...Best round was a 74..I just had my DCI's reshafted last month..Cant wait to use them next month on a little weekend getaway...

Cilley drives everyone away with his relentless bragging and cheap insults, did you think you could get away with this thread without jim coming along and making sure everyone on the planet knows what he shot on what date with Todd, shot by shot, hole by hole, hot dog by hot dog, he's like Red Mosquito repellent.

my best score was probably around 100 or so. when i worked at the course when i was younger, my best score was probably a 40 on the front 9.

i can drive the ball like nobodies business, but its keeping it straight that kills me. so i just try to make a little contact and not reach in 2.

mostly when i golf its to shoot the shit with my friends than it is to get better.

i usually do a scramble once a year, and my putting and chipping is usually on point.

I play casually but I enjoy it a lot. I shoot around 100-110.

I've found that golf scores are about like fishing stories.

Most people aren't honest.

Golf is a great sport to get away from the BS of life and get drunk with your buddies.

I play golf quite a bit, but very rarely ever keep score. I usually only do if I'm playing with people that I don't normally play with (and they usually keep score). My best score was 18 holes at Peak'n Peek when I shot a 98.
