Jose apparently hit the catcher and the pitcher with his bat in his independent league game last night after getting beaned. he went to jail on assault and was released after posting bail. here are some pics.

If there's any way to make it certain that guys are gonna pitch you inside, maybe even throw at you every single time, it's by being a former major leaguer-cum-irrelevant hanger-on charging the mound with a bat. This should mercifully kill whatever career Jose had left.
Note the absent of the obvious Juan Marichal reference all the way until now.
