Has anyone else been watching?
Man that was fun. It's 50 times better than the average NBA game, and it looks like they are having a lot of fun too. They finally look like they should again.

They do look good, I like the way the refs call the game so much better than the NBA.

I noticed that too, maybe these refs have less money on the games....

One play in particular that shows what a difference it is. Kobe gets the ball down near the low block and starts dribbling trying to back down his defender, who is playing good defense. There is contact going both ways but nothing over aggressive, just good defense. Kobe tries to bull his way in and turns towards the basket and loses the ball out of bounds. There is no call, just ball going the other way. Kobe gives the ref "where's the call" motion and the ref just continues doing his job by tossing the ball to the inbounder without a reaction.
In the NBA he gets that call every time, and it should be a no call.

exactly. Basketball is supposed to be physical, it shouldn't matter how much money you make or seniority as to whether you get a call or not. I enjoyed the game more last night because ever little incidental contact wasn't a foul. Contact fouls on a hard drive to the basket have become like holding in the NFL, contact happens every play, there is no reason to call every little thing.

You're right, incidental body contact and whatnot should not be called. Obviously any contact with the shooting arm should be called on drives and such because it has such an affect on the shot
