If there was any downside for Miami, running back Ronnie Brown left in the first quarter with a thumb injury. Brown said it was just a strain and he should be fine to practice.
it really didn't look serious at all.
and since this thread is bumped, i just have to say that...yes i know this is preseason, but we looked better saturday night than at any point last season. both 1st and 2nd teams played very well. both chads looked good. ted ginn stepped up and even looked good. the defense even looked good. the game was 19-0 after the 1st and 2nd teams came out, jville scored those points in junk time. i know its only preseason, but it was very encouraging.

Didnt see the game yesterday, anything specific that happened, or is he just as bad as everyone knew he was going to be when they drafted him?
Nothing happened. And that is pretty much the point. He isn't our KR or PR anymore. (Bess is better anyway.) So there goes that. And he is basically invisible on the field. He really has no idea how to get open. How to get seperation. He has all that speed and yet is never open. The only way we can get him the ball is on a WR screen. There were about 6 mins left in the game when I realized I hadn't heard his name all game. Apparently CBS remembered him right then too and they showed him on the sideline as we were driving. He came in and caught a screen pass. But what a waste he is.
I don't know if you saw last week, but in addition to letting returnable punts drop in front of them (with no Jets around him, mind you) he was again a non-factor in the offense. Oh, except when he decided to lazily cut BEHIND the defender on a 15 yard in route. Pennington threw it before he made the awful cut, good throw, but would have been picked off if the DB could catch because of Ginn.

Well today was great. They played another solid game. The best part was the energy and electricity emitting from the half-full stadium during the last two minutes. That was great. Things are starting to look up.

2007? I'm pretty sure there's no such year when referring to the Dolphins.

how awesome it is that the fins just took out the 2 components of last years afc title game back to back
Very.
So Ted Ginn sucks again. I know his stat line this week doesn't look that bad, but its the things that don't show up in the box score. AGAIN letting two (actually 3, because one of them was a penalty and re-punted) punts drop right next to him and then bounce, costing us about 20 yards once and about 10 the other time. Then with Miami trying to pick up a 3rd down late in the 4th quarter to just about seal up the game, he not only pansies out 2 yards shy of the marker, making no effort to pick up the yards, but untouched HE GOES OUT OF BOUNDS! I was livid. I guess he doesn't want to take a hit. There was a DB between him and the marker, so it would have been tough to pick it up, but I'd at least like to see him try. Or at the very least show the awareness to fall down in bounds.
Man does he suck. And I don't care if Devon Bess fumbled on that one KR, I still want him back there over Teddy Bear "hug me don't hit me" Ginn.
