hello boys and girls... tomorrow is my monthly poker game w/my buddies and i'm looking to see if anybody has any new games we can throw in there. here is a semi-comprehensive list of games we play:

-texas hold'em
-omaha
-7 card stud, including: follow the queen, queen and what follows, kings and little ones, chicago, high chicago, baseball, dime store, the good the bad and the ugly
-inbetween (the sheets)
-guts, including 2 card, 3 card, bloody
-iron cross (5 card and 7 card)
-murder
-shopping
-red dog
-mexican sweat (no peek)
-3 in the attic
-roll'em kings
-challenge/challenge by choice
-paul's cock
-2/22, 7/27, etc
-screw your neighbor
-shipwreck (pass the trash)

i'm sure i'm forgetting something, but that is the vast majority. i know games go by different names too, but those are the names i know them as.

so if anybody has any ideas or variations that they like please post them here... thanks.

if you really want big pots play "Acey-Duecey". Brutal game that usually ends up with somebody losing hundreds of dollars on one game. It's also the dumbest game ever.

Razz is when you're shooting for the lowest hand, with A as always low. HORSE is a rotation of Hold 'em, Omaha, Razz, Stud, and Eight or Better.

yeah we've played razz... we have a drop game called "paul's cock" where you are dealt 5 cards and are shooting for the lowest (A-2-3-4-6 being the perfect hand). you first decide whether to stay or not, and once you stay you can draw. so if you have A-2-3-7-Q you can stay and draw one. of course, you could pair up, that is the risk. good game, can get quite out of hand (as all drop games can).

Everybody antes up about $5 and throws it in the middle. The dealer puts two cards up(one on the left and one on the right). The object is to try and "Middle" the card and risk whatever you want on it. Lets say a Jack and a 2 come up, you can bet as much as you want that the card flipped over in the middle will end up in between a jack and a 2. If a Queen, King or Ace comes up then you lose what you bet. if a jack or 2 comes up then you have to pay double what you bet. Ace is always low on the left and always high on the right. If the dealer deals something like 8 and then 8 again, the player gets a ahcnace for free to guess what the middle card will be. If he gets it right he wins the whole pot. What happens is that you get people betting the whole pot on shit like Queen/6 and the pot ends up geting crazy. Let me know if that explanation was good enough.

gotcha thanks - that is basically our version of "in between" or "between the sheets".

our rules are you ante $3 and there is a minimum quarter bet. even if the spread is 7-8. and if an 8-8 comes up (or same 2 card) then you automatically pay fifty. the first ace we say you can call high or low. and finally, you can't bet the pot until you get your $3 out. that prolongs the game. but yes, pots can get nuts for sure.
