Catcher, maybe Midfielder due to all the damn running you have to do, QB for sure, and maybe Kick returner, punt returner. Good topic. How about easiest?

see, i was going to lean with this also, but I'm not sure if its the hardest per se. sure it sucks to have a hardened piece of rubber shot at you at 80-100mph, but your defense does alot of the work. sure its hard to guess what the offensive player is going to do, but alot of it is instinct

with a qb (and offense in general) you have to remember what, 125-300 plays with different formations? that alone i think makes it the hardest, but then to make your reads and checks and run away from 300lb men that want to kill you?

as far as the easiest....i would have to say left or right fielder for baseball

easiest is DH

for some reason, im really leaning towards offensive and defensive lines being #2 and #3. so many formations and drops into pass coverage, picking up the blitz, reading the protection, its just fucking insane.

i think with basketball, its pretty much second nature to run most of the plays. i know there are a whole shitload of defensive schemes that players have to know ( i think i read where they asked mario chalmers whats been the hardest transition and he said easily defense. in college they had like 4 sets where as with the heat upwards of 25 or so), but once you recognize an opponents offensive set, you just react

But if you consider that you're being peppered with 40-50 shots per night coming at you 100 mph while on skates, it's much harder than it initially seems.

i think the average is only about 25-30 shots per game, and yes it is hard on skates, but you have a limited skating area to worry about. im not saying its not difficult physically, it is, i have done it and that was just deck hockey in the lowest league, but factoring in the mental aspect of it also and being a goalie would probably be bottom 10 for me

With goaltender, the mental demand is through the roof.

i agree to an extent, but i wouldnt say its through the roof. you have to know to know what players like to do to anticipate but its more a reaction than it is thinking

This.

I've thought about this before and decided that their job is so difficult. They have to chase around the most athletic players on the field and never let them out of reach.

u have to be willing to jump infront of a moving object that could kill you if it hit you in the right spot

I'm shocked it took this long for anyone to say pitcher.

Another pressure cooker mentally.
