65,000 at Baltimore rooting their asses off against the Pats even though their team sucks. Wouldn't happen 3/4hs of the way into the season at a baseball game.

Maybe if the Yankees or Red Sox were in town. I went to a sold out Royals game in August when they were playing the Yankees. But yeah you have a great point.

NFL teams play 8 games at home every season. MLB teams play 81 games at home every season. If baseball teams played 1/10th as many games as they do now, they too would fill every seat in every stadium every game. It's a matter of supply, not devotion.

^^^ This is true, especially given how much even nosebleed seats cost at baseball games. It's comparable to some lower-market NFL teams.
