Every replay showed he had the ball and he was down. What can he do when he has three guys ripping at the ball after the whistle blew?

at least one angle showed a Giants player with his arm outstretched beneath Woods and likely on or near the ball. Even Woods himself said after the game he didn't quite have possession.

Fine by me, the guy is not worth the money he was making. If he was not cut he would be 2nd biggest cap hit on the team.

yea, but i'm not so sure. the pats seem to like how thomas as adjusted to OLB and with vrabel in the other spot, i'm not sure that colvin will want to play off the bench of the pats will want to pay him millions to come off the bench.

PATS' FAULK ARRESTED
by Michael David Smith

New England Patriots running back Kevin Faulk was arrested on charges of misdemeanor marijuana possession on Friday night, multiple media outlets are reporting.

A Louisiana native, Faulk was reportedly arrested at the Cajundome, the arena in Lafayette, Louisiana that is home to the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns basketball team.

Shalise Manza Young of the Providence Journal cites KATC in reporting that Faulk was at a concert featuring rapper Lil Wayne and a random security check "turned up four joints."

Faulk is the second Patriot arrested on marijuana charges this month; defensive back Willie Andrews was arrested two days after playing for the Patriots in the Super Bowl.

this won't effect faulk's status with the team.

Rosie's replacement?

espn.com wrote:
The 6-3, 266-pound wide-end/rush linebacker prospect ran the third-fastest 40-yard dash time of the defensive linemen. More importantly, his 1.49-second 10-yard split (first 10 yards of the 40-yard dash) was the lowest time run by a defensive lineman. Gholston bettered Long's broad jump by an inch and his vertical jump by an inch and a half. The Buckeye standout also tied Wolverine OT Jake Long for the most reps (37) of the standard 225-pound bench press.

For comparison purposes, here's a look at the best marks turned in by defensive ends competing in the 2007 combine:
• 40-yard dash: 4.65 (Gaines Adams, selected No. 4 overall by Tampa Bay).
• 10-yard split: 1.49 (Brian Robison, selected in the fourth round -- 102 overall -- by Minnesota).
• Bench/strength: 33 reps (Charles Johnson, selected in the third round -- 83rd overall -- by Carolina).
• Vertical jump: 40.5 (Brian Robison).
• Broad jump: 10-1 (Brian Robison).

At the end of the day, Long and Gholston simply verified during the combine workouts what they've shown on film the past couple of years. That should be good enough to land Long a spot in the top-four picks and Gholston a spot in the top-seven picks of the upcoming draft.

I love Gholston but I'm still skeptical they'll pick him and throw that kind of money out. I guess we'll see what happens with Colvin. Would they draft Gholston with Thomas and Vrabel? Especially with Samuel leaving? If McFadden drops that low, they're definitely trading it.

He actually fits in better now.

yet again you have no idea what you're talking about.

i believe after troy brown, kevin faulk is the longest tenured patriot. so fitting in is something he's known for a while.

"i'm done with this guy...."
